Some years ago I was at the seaside, and I saw an old couple walking on the beach. They were happy and smiling, and I noticed how nicely they were behaving with each other.
I started asking them how long had they been together. Their answer was 53 years: she was 18 and he was 21 when they met each other.
I asked what was it that made their relationship so nice. They answered to that also. Since then I started doing the same with my partner, and slowly learnt together with her through trial and error.
What we did not know was that our ideas about relationships were so wrong that we occasionally thought that the other was not really our soul mate.
Now we enjoy a great loving relationship. It took some time, but now our relationship is full of love, laughs and happiness. What we discovered is that we were really made for each other since before we were born, exactly as we thought the first time we met.
Unfortunately nowadays many people are in a relationship without knowing how to make it work well. Both partners want to make the other happy and fullfilled, but sometimes while trying to do that they make mistakes that lead them to the opposite. After a while they are so frustrated that they part and divorce if they were married.
This is why I decided to share our discoveries with other couples who are still willing to have a great relationship and they don't know how.
